Its appeal is no mystery: the Oregon Outback route iconically traverses the entire state south-to-north in more or less a straight line—the large majority of it following dirt trails, dusty rail lines, and gravel roads. Riders are awarded views of the stunning Sycan Marsh, dinner at the fabled Cowboy Dinner Tree, a scramble up Fort Rock, passage through the Crooked River Canyon, a climb up into the Ochoco Mountains, and infinite views over the painted hills of Rajneeshpuram.
