“Working with Limberlost was ideal. They helped us define exactly what we wanted to achieve with our clients all under the lens of what was actually possible. It allowed all of us to interact as true partners and just be present to experience the ride.”

Steve Kirbach - Head Roaster, Stumptown Coffee Roasters

The Salt Coast

As part of Limberlost's ongoing partnership with Stumptown Coffee we worked directly with their head roaster Steve Kirbach and Ben Jacobsen, founder of Jacobsen Salt. Our goal was to provide a memorable experience for a few dozen employees from each company and produce quality lifestyle content for use on social media.

The Route

Much of the coast highway can be quite busy with vehicle traffic so we identified popular cycling alternatives on quiet country roads for our large group to traverse a safe and scenic route from Cannon Beach to Jacobsen Salt on Netarts Bay.

Memorabilia

To make the event more than just a bike ride, Limberlost developed the Salt Coast name and associated branding, including this custom cycling cap design given to each of the riders.

Inspirational content

Limberlost produced high-quality content throughout the trip that was later featured by Bicycling Magazine, Breadwinner Cycles, Komorebi Cycling Team, REN Cycles, Nutcase Helmets, and Stumptown themselves.

Support with a flourish

Jacobsen Salt hired Carlo Lamagna the executive chef at Portland's famed Clyde Common to join our group and provide an elaborate feast consisting of fresh oysters from the bay, a 30 pound salmon, and a whole goat roasted over the fire. In addition to a light charcuterie lunch on the road while riding, Limberlost developed the "Salted Plum" cocktail for the event incorporating salted coconut whip, Japanese ume plums, and spirits from Dogwood Distilling.
